Sandercock is establishing a very strong foundation from which the club can build by signing young and where possible, British, players. Our player turnover in coming seasons should be very low indeed.

Problem we may have is squad retention. You have players like Paea who is still only 26. He has his best years in front of him but is out of contract at the season end. The guys a machine and on Sunday will reach 40 consecutive appearances for Rovers. Now Paea would make a good signing for most teams in SL so we need to get him signed up to a new deal. Problem is with the questions over who will be at the helm of Hull Kingston Rovers next year does it make people like Paea reserved about extending his deal. Even Sandercock will be unsettled and it's my opinion that Sandercock will prove to be the right man at Hull KR and take us forward in the coming years.

Whilst we have no head coach or even backers/plans for next season, squad retention is more or less impossible. We need both areas sorted asap to move forward.

He was brought over to help improve your younger players and seems to be doing this so cant be binned because your not in the top four. Hudgell must have had a long term goal with him and this cant be shown within eighteen months or even two years so a contract extension is surely needed to see if he can do the job he was needed to do

Listen to the General. The Sandman is the man for the job, after getting taken to the cleaners by Wigan i for one thought it would rip the heart out of this team. Most teams would not have come back the following week and turned over Saints. We are back on track again down to this man, and i feel confident we can go to the second placed team and pull off a shock, even without Burns. LETS DO THIS!!

I would give him a years extension but then considering we have no owners in place for next season who would want it? Player retention is nye on impossible cos we don't know the money situation meaning the likes of Paea and Mika can talk to other clubs as of May 1st. We can't talk to players on May 1st as prospective signings cos of the same money situation! Keeping Sandy should be priority 1 considering the injury list and money worries we have had since he came in he isn't doing a bad job.

A huge problem for me is if we dont have a new backer in place sooner rather than later then squad retention and new signings is near on impossible.

I believe that the new deadline for talking to players is the 1st May?, so the longer it goes on the lower the standard of the available players IMO
