Yes it could.

If he's on a work permit, and given that Rovers licence is only for Sport visas, he can only be employed by them as a sports player, unless of course, he has another type of visa that doesn't have work restrictions (as Webster did).

If he's on a work permit and that employment ceases, the visa can be affected. If he gets taken on by another club, they can transfer it to them
