Its a usual stupid comment from Hemmings "that people think we are the video ref" This would stop the idiot from making the inane remark anymore. I like the BBC version and if everybody can hear the video ref making a right pigs ear of this decision it might make them think again.........or is that utopia !!!!!!
The VR needs to be either at EVERY game or no games at all. It is however here to stay so there needs to be transparency.
For that to happen we need to be able to see and hear what they are doing.
There also needs to be at least two independent persons with the ref but the ref has ultimate decision making control.
When a decision is made there must be a reason given and that reason must be shown to the supporters. So if he has tracked a certain player or a player is offside...etc then this MUST be pointed out on the screen.
Sky have access to such amazing technology and use it for their highlights shows in all other sports. This kind of equipment can be used for the VR decisions so that they are able to show supporters what they are looking at.
I also believe that teams should be given 4 video ref referrals per game. If you use them then that is it everything else is down to the officials on the pitch.
The advantage to the attacking team should be scrapped. As in Australia now, the ref makes his decision, it then goes to the VR and if he can't decide then it goes back to the original decision.
Whether or not we can hear the current system is irrelevant unless we can see what is going on too and the whole thing is changed to be a much fairer system.
