They must now be fined as they made commercial benefit i.e winning games and finishing higher up the table than they should have ( as they had at least 1 player, allegedly a number more playing under performance enhancing drugs ).

The RFL's complicity in this is the most shocking element. They were clearly worried by Rules assertion that this could run thrughput the entire 1st team squad. if the RFL had acted properly as they should have and notified Uk Anti doping agency God knows how many players could have been banned and how would that have looked if they couldnt raise a side.

Think that the RFL won't punish Hull because they themselves have made this whole debacle so much worse for the sport.

I understand what you're saying, but I think it could quite possibly result in a large amount of players testing positive for things they genuinely believed did not contain banned substances.

That sort of publicity does not attract major sponsors when your existing deal has just expired and would also not be very pleasing to the major broadcaster who pays several million pounds a year and is just launching a new season.

I do hope the RFL are doing [isomething[/i I just feel it would be wise to do it quietly away from the gaze of the media.

In addition, which independent body are we going to get in, to second guess the UKAD investigation?
What are you expecting / wanting to find?
If some sort of evil RFL cover up is discovered, what do you want to happen?

Hundreds of thousands of pounds have already been spent on this investigation. People of been fined and banned. The UKAD have said they are happy with the outcome. Why start another investigation? These things aren't free, guys.
