I've become completely obsessed with Scandinavian crime and really need a new genre. It all started with Steig Larrson and then I went through various others until landing on Jo Nesbo. It's good stuff, but I've started to think I'm a detective and my neighbours have now taken out an ASBO after I kept creeping around their gardens with a magnifying glass.'"
They are not Scandinavian but if you enjoy crime books, look out for Tess Gerritsen, Karin Slaughter and Harlan Coben. All excellent authors. |

I mentioned it earlier,has anybody been watching Spartacus on SKY 1?
Dunno how they get away with the sex and violence.Not to mention the effing and blinding.Brilliant series though.Well worth watching.

I watched the original series on Bravo, the sky stuff is a prequel to that. Thankfully though, Sky are straightaway going to be showing the first series from next week, and in HD too 
They were about to start filming a second series but the actor who plays Spartacus was diagnosed with cancer, so they made the prequel while he was recovering. However, his cancer has returned so in the end the producers have got a new lead actor for the second series, which will be on telly next year |
