Quote: nick hkr "Numerous singers have moved to the Well due to being pushed out of 'their spot' by the bandwagoners, the others have moved from the middle. Last season one of the main lads couldn't attend many games due to work and family commitments which also had an impact. I too have lost a lot of enthusiasm because I start a song and within three or four lines it has died off and it was only being sung by about 20 people in the first place.
Then some idiot starts an anti-FC song and the whole place erupts in to the loudest place on earth!
Probably why Justin hasn't come under much fire for underperforming too, because we have beaten Hull FC and these fans are happy enough to lose every other game except those ones! Everyone needs to get out of this mentality and realise there is a bigger picture and we need to get behind the lads. Hopefully the night match atmosphere will return this Saturday.'"
I agree about the anti FC songs, but lets be honest they have been going on for a long time, personally I find them embarrassing unless we are playing them.
The one thing I do have an issue about is the use of the term bandwagoners, that just reinforces the view that were a small time club (like the anti fc songs). Can;t believe anyone has been forced out of 'their spot' either because except for last week the east stand has always had plenty of room in it. All clubs have fans who come and go with success, I hope we get a thousands of more of these at will mean we are being successful. The clubs vision is to compete at the top of the game and without a large fan base this can be kissed goodbye. The loyal 1200 have been just that but there is an element of self righteousness about some that to be honest is misplaced. I personally am glad we're in a position i had more or less thought I'd never see again.
I agree beating FC shouldn't be the be all and end all but to some finishing 1 place above them lot is enough. If they pay their money and they're happy with that who am I to argue. Suppose its better than being peed off all the time.
