Visit //www.geofflee.net for details of my novels 'One Winter', 'One Spring', 'One Summer' 'One Autumn' 'Two Seasons'. and "Three Good Years" All six feature Rugby League against a humourous Lancashire/Yorkshire background and are inspired by the old saying about work: "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller.": |

| Having written four novels already (One Winter, One Spring, One Summer and One Autumn) I am now half way through writing the fifth in the series. It hasn't got a title yet although some of the chapters I have completed so far have. They include He Was A Good Yorkshireman, Taking Afternoon Tea at Bailiff Bridge, Stuck On The M62, A Day Out In Wigan, She's A Jehovah's Widnes, A Tale From Knowsley Road, The Petition and The Girl From Wrexham.
This Saturday from 10.30 onwards, I will be in Waterstones in the Kingsgate Centre in Huddersfield signing copies of One Autumn, which has a background of Work, Family Life and Rugby League. I am also looking out for ideas for this next novel so if you have any suggestions or are just looking out for something to read on your holidays, why not call in and see me. It's free.

not a lot the Rugby bits are all based on St Helens, all the characters are St Helens fans and talk about the saints a lot, but sometimes other clubs get a mention ,all takes place in the 1960s , but the books themselves are a cracking read I can recommend them

| Will you be writing one about the club that was saved from extinction, well Relegation if we had it like other competitions, by its own governing body bending over backwards and changing the rules to suit which to me now alienates all those outside Souper Douper League.

| Thanks for your comments peawapp, although not all what you wrote is correct. Only 'One Winter' is set in the 60s, then there is one for each of the following three decades. Some, though not all of the main characters, are indeed Saints fans but there are plenty stories about other clubs. In the next novel there will be another Wigan fan and two who follow Warrington including Jennifer, the computer expert, who originally comes from Sunderland and a recent convert to the game.
To Big Dutch you might be interested to read that there are a few stories from Amsterdam, where the company HQ are now based and reference to a famous international hooker who made his mark in both Dewsbury and Australia in the chapter called "Listening to Stevo and Eddie".
Novel Number Five will be published in the New Year and will be on sale on Dawson's Bookstall on Dewsbury Market just as are currently 'One Winter' and 'One Autumn' and quite a few other good books about Rugby League, and all at a discount too. Ask Val if you don't believe me!
