| This game was probably one of panthers worst performances of the season :
Fair credit to York in the end the best team won, but really we are better than that and should be beating a team like york the way we have been playing this season.
I feel they wanted it more than us.
Also can our captain refrain from trying to take everyones head off, every time someone tackles him he wants to have a go. I agree like some previous posts on here we need an enforcer in the team and he is good going forward but we dont need a penalty machine, not a good example for a captain is it.
Some good efforts from certain individuals and the tries we scored were good
Reading the York forum they think we are the dirtiest team in the league,
Anyway lets bounce back against Oldham on Sunday and play like i know we can

| Regarding your Mr Hobson, doubt he will be captain for much longer by the time the RFL get to grips with him.
He has been cited by York for an off the ball incident after the final hooter, when Nathen Freer went to shake his hand, but no that was not good enough for that dirty low life thug, instead he elbowed nathan in the eye.
Nathan was rushed to hospital where he needed 11 stitches in a very bad eye wound, and possible damage to the eye socket.
Bet your proud of your captain now, lets see what your club does about it, if they have any balls.
Not having a go at the Blackpool fans here but can you condone such an act of thuggery.

| Don't see Fleetwood Mac condoning it in his post? He actually criticises Hobson. I have read the rumours about what Hobson did after the final whistle- IF it is true, then the rfl will deal with him and he will be facing a long ban (and rightly so)- and yes he should be asked to stand down as captain. I wasn't there to see the incident, but I prefer to see the official outcome not what rumour says (my gran's neighbours cousin) and would point out that making accusations on forums can be construed as liable whilst also possibly having a negative effect on any rfl investigation. Hobson has a temper problem and would be a good player if it wasn't for his trend to lose his head & cost penalties.
Can imagine that we were overconfident going into the game considering our recent results and this has cost us against a York team who put in a big performance performance. If we learn from it and kick on then it may not be a bad thing.
Read elsewhere we have signed Holland on a permanent contract now and Stuart Howarth has come from Wigan on dual reg.
As for us choosing Hobson as captain- that is the coaches remit. I think MC hoped that the extra responsibility would help him to mature and calm down, but it does not seem to have worked- Munro would be my choice.

Not having a go at Fleetwood or yourself but you can see where were coming from, its not the first time is it.
All the best for the rest of the season.

| personally I reckon clough should be given captains armband, his organisation of the side has been essential to our success this year, I believe he wopuld be best choice, with regards to howarth he gives us cover at halfback which we have been lacking, he played the friendlies for wigan this year, isnt a bad prospect by any means, could do a good job for us, also I have heard same thing about Holland, wonder if any announcement has or will be made shortly, anyone in the know care to share info?

| The only issues I have with making a forward captain is that they will spend a portion of the game sat on the bench and they are more likely to get frustrated/ annoyed/ angry in a game which can result in them not thinking clearly. However, Clough seems a level head and has been at the club for a while now so could be a decent option.
I'm starting to think the squad needs to be trimmed down now- we seem to have signed a number of players recently just because their available and not because we actually need them/ a significant step up quality- e.g. Halliwell. This may also save the club a few quid if finances are tight as rumoured.

Hobson gets 1 match ban for tripping + 4 matches for attacking Nathan Freer off the ball.
I think he's a lucky chap, should be
