Yes good luck to Keighley...they are as good as promoted half way through the season.

The buzz going around Keighley must be massive at the moment.

It's what all fans long for... a season where success is very probable, not just a pipe dream.

Fair play to Keighley , after last seasons disappointment they have assembled a squad that looks to have clinched promotion half way through the season. They have spent big on key players and it has proved to be a season defining decision.

However how many of their 2022 squad will transition into the championship?
Murrell, Feather and Webster are all coming to the ends of their careers and I cant see the likes of Kesik and Miller hacking it at the higher level.

You only have to look at Whitehaven , promoted by the play offs , spend very little on recruiting and getting thumped every week.

People constantly seem to under rate Jack Miller and I never get it. When he was with us I liked him, he just needed game time. When he got a settled place at a club he's been a consistent performer guiding them round the pitch. I'd have said he sometimes tries too hard and that's when he can make a mistake (and probably has done that more against us than other clubs as he has been wanting to prove a point).

As for Keighley on the whole, they're better than us before this spending so I'd rather they be spending it and walk the league than a team nearer our level
