| I had a gut feeling about yesterdays game and I'd already booked next Monday off with the intention of staying the night up there after the game, booked in to hotel with early check in at 12pm and 15 minutes walk to the ground, hopefully celebrating the win and later watching fev in a local hostelry upset the frenchies.
I Have to say a big thanks to all the Donny supporters who have come up to me in the last few weeks at games praising Ollie and his efforts, if you'd have seen the mess his lip was in after yesterdays game, you'd see he goes through and really does give 100% he really wants to help get Donny promoted alongside the other loanies in the team

| Copied from the Workington site on TRL, one fans assessment of the Dons.
[iI've watched them four times now and three times i've thought they were awful for long periods of the game and the other when they beat us at Donny they were average BUT they keep winning and they can score from anywhere against the run of play. I can't call it...our defense and kicking need to be solid.[/i

| I think Donny have great potential yet play the basics like amateurs at times.
It is this part of the game that holds the key for me...
Simply getting up on both legs and solidly playing the ball back, slowly if need be.
Not pushing the opponent as he regains his feet and giving a 6 again away because of it.
Moving up smartly and as one line.
Not lunging and giving penalties away for head high stuff.
Get these basics right and the Dons are near unbeatable in this league.
Of course Worky will be thinking the same.
I think we are up top as self destructing goes though...so have maybe more scope for improvement.

| I wonder if there is more pressure on the home side for this promotion game?

Would it be bad luck not to put Sundays winnings on a 4th win?
A win would give me £172.43 back on my initial £10.

In theory, all you have to lose is your original £10 ... but it may not feel that way if you do.

| If we get the basics right (as described by S/O) I believe we should have too much for Worky.
The only potential issue is that we've had three very tough games running and that might just catch up with us. Worky have been resting in two of the last four weeks reaping the benefits of finishing second.
Brandan Douglas has been brilliant albeit playing on one leg. I hope his good leg holds up and he's able to play on Sunday. I'm sure Beryl isn't fully fit eaither so I hope he makes it.
Everyone has played their part in our good run but the loan players have been excellent - in my view proving why effectively using the loan system works whereas Dual Reg was a flop.

That's what I've convinced myself of! The odds have been about the same every game against us. Turns out then we have ended up as 16 to 1 to win if we go back before Hunslet game!
