If top teams don't want to invest in a proper reserve grade structure, they shouldn't be allowed to invade the space of the smaller guys. It would be totally wrong and unacceptable for this to happen.
After several years of seeing the DR system in place, there are serious reasons to believe it doesn't work either. It encourages lower league teams to rely on others when they should be trying to be self-sufficient but this proposal certainly isn't the answer.
The RFL need to get a proper competitive reserve grade structure (which teams voted against when they were looking to cut costs). They shouldn't see a takeover of our competition as the answer.'"
