With the new Kingstone Press Championship well underway, Doncaster Rugby League Club is to offer their season pass holders the opportunity to help spread the word of their love for the blue and gold's with our ‘Bring a Friend' special offer.

Yorkshire rivals York City Knights are the visitors to the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday 24th March and 2013 season pass holders will be able to bring a friend along to the game for just £5 (adult or concession ticket).

Tickets for this game are on sale now from the ticket office at the Keepmoat Stadium and season pass holders will have until the day of the game to take advantage of this special offer. Please use voucher 01 from your season pass book.

Dons' chief executive Carl Hall said: "We're making a concerted effort to develop the fan base at the club and this offer for our season pass holders is a great example of this.

"We witnessed a significant increase in match day attendances last season but we've been disappointed with our home attendances so far in 2013 (average of 771) when you consider the season that we had.

"Doing the double in 2012 resulted in our most successful year in the club's history so it's really important that we build on this achievement and promote rugby league to the people of Doncaster and the surrounding area.

"We hope that our season pass holders will take up this attractive offer and introduce a friend to this great game and to this great club.

"There's no other sport out there that can beat the excitement, thrills, spills and fast pace of a rugby league game.

"But there's so many people who don't know what they're missing out on and this is something that we're determined to change."

Doncaster Rovers season ticket holders have an option (so Im told by a season ticket holder) of getting in 5 friends for free at a match of their choice, and some sort of other deals....

Anyway with that mindset I think the club should push the boat out MUCH more with these offers. Its almost like they think if they were to offer as many friends as you can muster for a fiver somehow the Keepmoat is going to be overrun..and some sort of health and safety disaster will happen. Except the reality is the 300 or so season ticket holders will bring what.....30 or so at a fiver...most of these will be mates who might have paid anyway meaning..NO extra profit...but more importantly NO extra fans.....Just push the boat out for one game.

Now sorry if I sound like im ing on some sort of bonfire here..but its not a great offer for the club itself.

Got to start somewhere , if your saying that they'll bring a mate who would have paid anyway and they'll lose money, surely by your way of thinking, by offering more then more who would have paid full price will get in for a fiver and the club will lose more money?. They have to try something and im sure this is just one option.

if the season ticket holders use there brains they'll fetch someone who doesn't usually
attend and let the mates who usually come pay as per usual.
if they wanted it cheaper should have got a season ticket if they're regulars.
that way the dons won't lose out, c'mon lets help them out a little bit.
i will fetch someone thats never been before!

It's got to be someone that wasn't going to attend, not someone freeloading and saving money who would have paid full whack.
I will pay the full amount, I won't be latching onto a season ticket holder.
