This is a good signing for the dons,hes a big unit and has pace for prop.I worked with his brother jodie so speed in the family.Could be a big hit.

We had him at York this season on dual reg;, would have been happy for him to sign on again for us, a good forward.

We had him on loan in 2009 from Leeds .

I watched this guy in the Valvoline u20's final at Warrington last Saturday and he really impressed, he was obviously used as an impact player and boy did he make an impact, at times i thought i was watching 10 pin bowling.

Doncaster Rugby League Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Brooke Broughton who joins the club from Super League grand finalists Warrington Wolves.

21 year-old Broughton is the brother of Salford winger Jodie, who is widely regarded as the fastest man in Super League, and while he does not possess such blistering pace as his elder sibling, is seen as an athletic prop forward or second rower.

Leeds born Broughton has been based at the Halliwell Jones Stadium for the last three years having spent two seasons with the under 20's and also enjoyed a full year as a member of the Wolves first team squad.

He joined Warrington after playing for Leeds Rhinos Academy under 18's and was loaned to the Dons by Leeds in 2009 and has also had loan spells at Dewsbury (2011) and York (2012).

At the end of his debut season in the Rhinos Academy system, Broughton played in the side that was named Junior Academy Champions after victory over St Helens at Headingley Carnegie Stadium.

Before joining Leeds, Broughton played for his local club Queens ARLFC and has just won the recent Valvoline Cup Grand Final with Warrington after a 36-20 victory over his former club Leeds. He was named on the bench and went over under the posts for a try a minute after coming onto the field.

Dons' head coach Tony Miller said: "Brooke's a quality signing for the club and I'm thrilled he chose to come to Doncaster.

"He's a strong running impact player who can bust the line and has been playing for a very good Warrington under 20's side who have just won some silverware themselves.

"He'll certainly strengthen our pack and give us plenty of go forward."

Broughton said: "I left Doncaster on good terms after my month long loan in 2009 and I know Carl Hall really well so there was always a positive link with the club.

"I had a number of good offers on the table and the one from Doncaster stood out more than the rest.

"I'm really looking forward to joining up with the Doncaster lads and I'm hoping to make big inroads in 2013.

"I'd love to stay with the club for as long as possible but I do have ambitions to hopefully get back into Super League one day.

"The club have just had a really good season and I hope to play on the back of that and become a better and stronger player."
