Dons' head coach Tony Miller is urging former players and fans of the club to make every effort to attend the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday to watch the Dons take on Barrow Raiders in the semi-final of the Co-operative Championship One play-offs (3pm kick-off).

Miller recently steered the club to its first ever league title after a resounding win at London Skolars and said: "We've done something that's never been achieved before in the club's 61 year history and I believe it's something we should all celebrate and be very proud of.

"The club has had its fair share of ups and downs throughout its existence and this success should be embraced by everyone who has been involved with the Dons in whatever shape or form."

The Dons will be presented with the league winner's shield at the end of the game after finishing top of the pile after 18 games. The blue and gold's managed to secure the most wins whilst scoring the most points and also had the best point's difference by some margin.

25 year-old centre/full back Lee Waterman, who the club hope to retain for next season, has also smashed Luke Gale's try scoring record with 34 four pointers to his name thus far.

Miller's men have averaged an impressive 40 points per game and have played some of the finest rugby league the town has seen in many years. "The boys have been tremendous value for money all season and we've played some really good rugby both home and away," Miller added.

"Our success is obviously great news for the club, but it's also great news for the town of Doncaster and it puts us firmly back on the rugby league map for the right reasons.

"I believe the player's and the club deserve a bigger crowd at the Keepmoat, which is probably the best stadium outside of Super League, and it would be fantastic to register our biggest crowd of the season at the weekend against Barrow.

"I'm optimistic our success will prove to be the catalyst for a positive reaction which will hopefully lead to a big increase in our fan base starting this Sunday in the play-offs."

The winners of Sunday's game will progress to the Grand Final which takes place on Sunday 30th September at Warrington's Halliwell Jones Stadium. Should the Dons lose the game, their play off campaign will not be over and will play either Workington or Whitehaven at home the following week.

So make sure you get down to the Keepmoat Stadium on Sunday to enjoy a cracking afternoon of top quality rugby league. If you miss it, you'll miss out...
