Did anyone watch the documentary which followed the Eddie Waring programme it was called The Game That Got Away and it featured three former Dons coaches can you name them? also starring was a famous player from Rossington can you also name him?

one of the coaches was Laurie Gant

Yes one of them was Laurie Gant who was coach at the Dons Sept 1957 to Sept 1958. Still two more former coaches to name and don't forget the name of the player from Rossington who used to appear every week on BBC TV

He did coach us.

The player from Rossington was Mick Smith who on April 13th 1968 scored six tries for Featherstone against the Dons. One of the tries he scored for Fev in the Challenge Cup Final used to be shown in the opening introduction to BBC Grandstand.

Clive Sullivan was the Dons player coach March 1983 - May1984 and yes his brother Brian did play for the Dons & Clives son Anthony was a ball boy at Tattersfield
