Siddal are a good outfit, looking at the draw I'd suggest we're amongst the favourites for a "shock"

As long as we don't get a repeat of the last time we played amateurs.....may the better team win.

No one has said we have lost, just that when the best lower league team comes to a team that are still an unknown quantity it is bound to be the centre of attention

I tend to remember last time we played Siddal, them all turning up tanked up to the eye balls with a few looking for trouble...but that was 6 or 7 years ago

Sounds like the draw was a typical farce yesterday.

They couldn't get sound on the live feed, and also had no graphics or explanantion to who the numbers meant, so it took half an hour for press agencies to find out the draw.

AND...They had to do the draw twice, because after the first time they realised they had forgot to put Wath Brow in the bag (which even more complicated with no sound or explanantions)

It is to be hoped then that there are adequate precautions in place for this game that help to ensure there is no repeat of the disgraceful scenes from the Queens match. I'm sure that given the right contacts the club will check this out and the game of Rugby League does not get the unwanted publicity as per last year.

Third round of the cup is, I believe, included in your season ticket

Hadn't noticed the scheduling of the game but the Queens fixture was also a Saturday IIRC. I think that there are often a number of third round fixtures played on Saturdays as that's when the amateurs who qualify generally play.

Reference the Season Ticket, as Jemmo has said, it was indicated when they went on sale that the CC Third Round fixture was included.

I donot think the club have confirmed it is to be Saturday 06/03/10 at 1.30pm, I noticed it on Siddal's website.

It has not yet been confirmed, however it is likely to be Saturday at 2pm as I understand it

Siddal have now changed their website , stating its a 3pm Kick Off on Sat 06/03/10 .

It's the time zone difference between Donny and that foreign land of Siddal.

According to the Dons website this morning Kick off is 2.00pm on Saturday 6th March

Just to let you know.

Unlike Queens who are a disgrace to the game and should have been kicked out of by BARLA ages ago Siddal are a top outfit, well coached and well disciplined.
Their supporters likewise will come supporting their team and hoping for a win.
They will not come looking for trouble just a good day out and having pushed Swinton close last year both the team and supporters will fancy their chances.
We have some excellent players who certainly could do well at Championship 1 level and last year we carried all before us in the Amateur game.

Based on the above it should be a good occasion for both sets of supporters whatever the result and we will look forward to welcoming Siddal and their supporters to Doncaster.
