Hope the club are putting up posters in and around Armhorpe, and perhaps giving out some tickets in local schools, chance to spread the word. Nothing ventured nothing gained and all that.

I agree with Weighman - there should be a good atmosphere.

We'll get some clues as to how much of a problem the Keepmoat is in keeping people away.

Another opportunity for the people of Doncaster to show their support for the Dons. Let's hope for a good turnout in an important game for us.

I have no objection to the temporary move, I'd rather us break up the long period of away games due to the pitch being relaid by playing home games at CP than have none at all.

I just wish they'd have had known a month ago so we could build up to it, hammer the message around that part of Doncaster and to any floating RU supporters.

I can 100% guarantee someone will turn up at the Keepmoat at 2:50pm on Sunday, get all confused, leave and never come again!

As Jemmo said, it would have helped if there'd been more notice.

I hope the club have a plan to transport anyone turning up at the Keepmoat to Castle Park. Maybe a 3.15 kick off would have been wiser as it would have at least given the car drivers a chance to get to Armthorpe Road in time for the kick off.

The bus users definitely need a lift from the Keepmoat to Castle Park.

I raised that point in discussion last night. The message probably won't reach everyone at this late stage.

I do however agree that playing at CP is more palatable than not having a Home game.

There is a good bus service from town to Armthorpe, better than to the Keepmoat !

Just come through armthorpe on my way home and was disappointed to see the boards outside castle park bare, not a sign that there is a rugby match there this Sunday. Pretty much everyone going to or coming from armthorpe passes those boards, and its a main bus route, yet no-one is being informed. I know it was decided late,but must have been discussed as a possibility when it looked like the pitch was not going to be ready, how much for a large poster?, not that much I suspect so could have been done as a if...... . Are we going to rely on the free press?,that not too many buy anyway.If I didn't use this forum I wouldn't know! . Come on marketing at club Doncaster, pull your finger out.

All Donny Knights season ticket holders can go free too.

I sat in the stand for a Knights game on a sunny day and it didn't get the sun, which surprised me.
It's facing south isn't it?
Perhaps it's more south east and the sun was too far to the right.

Today I drove past a big poster on a billboard on the old Tattersfield car park overlooking Bentley Rd advertising the Whitehaven game & its states the game is being played at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The main stand is pretty much east facing, ESE (ish)

It's still listed in Donny Drinker (CAMRA) as having real ale.

There was a real ale at the Knights ground when I was there ... a lovely golden ale, can't remember it's name, but perfect in the hoppy way I prefer (and wanderer doesn't ).

Attendance prediction: How many do you think will attend on Sunday?

I'll gauge it on the following scale:

Over 800 = Excellent
700 to 800 = Very Good
600 to 700 = Good
500 to 600 = Quite Good
400 to 500 = Okay
300 to 400 = Disappointing
Under 300 = Poor

I hope I'm wrong but my guess would be around 350.

From what I understand from the past, the pavilion has real ale on regular. The last time I was there it was Tetley Imperial.

They ordered in casks of real ale which were sold from the stand on a game by game basis. They were also known for very good pies.

As I'm walking there I'll be able to partake in an alcoholic beverage.

If the pitch is being relaid again next season, and this game works, why not plan a couple of "on the road" games. Rather than spend a full month on the road play a couple of "home" games at Castle Park. These can be marketed well in advance. Perhaps it would be better to allow for that extra game anyway next season.
