Methinks the bookies logged into the forum yesterday and took your prices!
No result would surprise me today... I'm just hoping for the best.

| Live Commentary is on BBC Radio Cumbriahttps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/66217548rl
Ignore the reference to football. The BBC seemed to have put the link in the wrong place!

| That score is encouraging considering what happened last week. Hopefully, we can build on it in the second half.
Cornwall are duffing up N Wales.

| Weekend Results
N Wales 38, Cornwall 40
Hunslet 16, Dewsbury 14
Rochdale 32, Midlands 22
Workington 19, Dons 22
Table
Dewsbury
Fixtures
Dewsbury: Worky (H), Dons (A). A win against Worky makes Dewsbury champions.
Hunslet: Rochdale (A), London (H), Worky (A)
Dons: N Wales (A), London (A), Cornwall (H), Dewsbury (H)
Worky: Dewsbury (A), Hunslet (H), Oldham (A)
Oldham: Cornwall (A), Rochdale (A), Workington (H)
If Hunslet win their remaining games, we’d have to win all ours for second place to be decided on points difference. They’re presently 119 better than us. Hunslet have a good chance to boost their points diff at home to London. We probably need to win by 50 against N Wales, London and Cornwall to have a chance.
Realistically, it seems as though it’ll be hard for us to finish second unless Hunslet lose one of their last three. Even if they do, we'll need to beat Dewsbury in order to possibly do it.
We need to win three of our last four to be assured of finishing third. That seems possible providing we don’t regress into ‘Midlands mode’ again.
I listened to the commentary of the Hunslet v Dewsbury game. Hunslet seemed as though they deserved to win. Matty Beharrell played a key role for them.
After today’s good win, I’m thinking we’re likely to finish third. What’s everyone else reckon?

| Well done for putting last weeks horror show behind them, our game management and the bench forwards according to Town fans made a difference. Congrats to the players for responding to the last two results

| A suprise win for me at Worky...it gives us a chance of third place.
In more general matters....the table clearly shows that we have a lacklustre attack and a very average defence.
However the playoffs are cup games and we could win them...
We have little excuse if we lose at Crusaders given what Cornwall did and when you look at the Rochdale result we look a bit weak to have been thrashed by Midlands.
The two games we had lost up until then were perfectly understandable....that was not by any measure.
I reckon they thought they could just turn up...woeful attitude.
But onwards we go...nothing short of 100% commitment will do it.

| Thinking about it...
I reckon that on the last day of the season we'll need to beat Dewsbury with Hunslet losing at Workington for us to finish second.
Dewsbury will almost certainly have won the league so might not be fully switched on and Workington might need to beat Hunslet to finish ahead of Oldham. On the downside, Worky might not have anything to play for by then if Oldham have already sealed fourth place.

| I presume this year's play-off format is the same as last season. Here's a reminder of what it looks like
Finishing second really does give a team a major advantage.

| Wow, a far better display ,with our bench providing the impetus to get the job done.
Boas was lively around the ruck while Kenga, Holdstock and Vete ran direct and gave us the platform that was lacking in our last two outings.
I was impresses with Vete who looks huge in comparison to the rest of our pack, with Workington having to put three players into the tackle to try and control him yet he still managed to get the ball out to support on at least three occasions, which is encouraging.
Very few Dons fans at the game, but given our performances of late it was not surprising , however the small group that made the journey will have been well pleased with the performance, although my heart was in my mouth until the last play.
Surprised at some of the weekends results but hopefully we have had our blip and now and we can finish the season strongly going into the play offs.
