I can't believe the doom & gloom on this site. You lost against a Bradford side that has a few full time players in it's ranks, plus some decent players that will want to help Bradford get back to where they believe they should be. Horne is still trying to find the right formula and line-up. It seems that you have had some injuries. and some injuries at Hull have meant that some DR players haven't been as frequent as planned at the start of the season. Still a long way to go

I think Richard Horne has a policy that he won't pick anyone who isn't 100% fit. If that is the case, people won't always necessarily be missing through choice, and it would explain why we might otherwise seem confused.

I wonder why I bother sometimes. I'm trying to pass on something constructive, something that I thought genuine fans would be interested to know. But rest assured Hally's Hot Air will find a negative, accusing angle to it.

There maybe isn't always a reasoning why things go wrong, maybe just maybe the powers that be are just inept at their job, have you ever thought that could be the case?

it is a funny old forum this one.some get pulled down for being positive,others get pulled down for being negative.and then theres the doommongers who only appear when they can vent there wrath and have a good pop at people.i don't include S-O in this remark,because one thing you can say about him is,he,s a regular up or down,and is genuine in his thoughts,but some do take the biscuit.

Simply the best side we have played at the Keepmoat since the TWP last year. Well organized, fit, fearsome and wanted it in spades. Well supported and its easy to see why. Good luck to them for the the rest of the Season, easy to see why they are favorites for outright promotion because on that evidence from yesterday York will do really well to win at Bradford.

The truth is the majority on here are stuck in a rut, there just happy to go and watch some rugby on a sunday afternoon and are willing to hand over their pennies and not question a thing! It wouldn't frustrate me as much if we didn't have any money or if we had bad facilities. Contrary to what people think I can see the huge potential here and I even buy into the club Doncaster setup but the facts are we consistently under achieve and miss targets due to complete mis-management and are fobbed off with excuse after excuse. I'm still young enough and have the fight to want to see my team play in the highest division possible so I apologise to anyone who thinks my posts are just rants.

I'm simply going on the wealth of the backers of club Doncaster, I'm certainly 'not in the know' of anything money related.

You are wrong to assume that others (happy clappers to you) don't question things - we do! We don't go on and on about it in the same way you do though.

If you've got some fight in you, then go and discuss your issues with the club, face to face. Do something positive about it. If they won't buy into your ideas, go and find a rich businessman to take over the club instead, but please don't keep having a pop at the fans on here. We want success just like you do.

I'm sure I've seen Hob knob and doomongers quote's thrown my way so saying stop having a pop at fans has got to work both ways. Like I say there's enough money men and the right facilities here to be a success but while ever it's being mis-managed the fans will be watching championship for quite a while.

Hally, I admire your commitment to your beliefs. I admire your passion for the cause. In life we have a choice, we can either keep complaining about the same things or we can try to do something positive to bring about change. Channel your efforts into doing something positive. Sort out a meeting with Gavin Baldwin or someone from Club Doncaster.

It's the only way you'll ever feel as though you've been properly listened to and it's the only way you'll get answers to the questions you would clearly like to raise.

So much for all Carl's hype about the club making a profit , those figures say different.

Problem with that is there is more than one company at play, Club Doncaster's financials are not on there and we don;t know what is being siphoned to what company for what tax reason. Having said that, i think if we genuinely did have more money, we'd have spent it

Agreed Jemmo , the Rovers don't make a profit ,............. it has been well documented the directors make up the shortfall every year from their own pockets.

There was talk at the last Rovers game of one or more of the directors looking to leave the club, or selling to interested parties.
I dont know if this is just idel gossip ,but if true where would that leave the Dons with regards to finances and ownership?

Carl always says the owners back him and would like us in Super League ,but I want a Ferrari and a super model girlfriend ...............,but like our Super League aspirations I fear it is just a pipe dream.

The fact is you can't go up on a shoestring budget unless by hook or by crook you recruit in the most judicial and targeted way ... and we haven't done that with our incomers in the main.

We have games like Bradford,York,Worky,Haven,Oldham,Keighley and Hunslet away as well as a couple of banana skin ones.

Other sides will take points off each other because they are similar after the top two so there lies hope.

So we get to the play-offs if we are lucky then what?

We are notoriously rubbish at play-offs.
I can think of a few notable exceptions but generally we are a damp squib at the business end of the season.

So do we give up and crawl away?
Of course not ... there is plenty of very attractive rugby to be played by the Dons ... but that will have to suffice I fear.

We need to lower the rhetoric, cut the crap and run this club as though we have a plan.

With regard to the Dons, people's expectations are raised when suggestions are made on RL Back Chat and in the RL press that the Club's owners 'could easily be one of the richest in the game'.

At the same time, Richard Horne states 'I am happy with where the team is and the balance we have in it' and 'At the moment we are not looking to bring anyone else in'.

I may well be wrong here but conclude the following;

* There may be funds available but RH is happy to go with the current squad.

* There may be a belief that as the season progresses further players from Hull will become available.

My thoughts are that we need to finish second or third in this division for a realistic chance in the play-offs (I cannot see anyone finishing above Bradford).

We cannot afford to lose too many more games in that quest and still have a number of difficult away games (Bradford, York, Oldham, Whitehaven, Workington, Keighley for example) and have already struggled to see off Newcastle (away) and North Wales (home).

I firmly believe that we need something more in the forwards to allow the backs a better platform to play. For me we are still two decent prop forwards away from having the squad we need. If we aren't looking to sign any further players then we must hope that Hull can help out?

My thoughts are that RH is not happy with the balance of the team ... but because of his position cannot say so.
