Howden to have a scan on his hip on Wednesday (according to a Free press report) My guess is he will not be risked for this Friday, I hope its only a short term flare up and not a re-occurrence of that troublesome problem because he has been in excellent form since his return.

It's a shame for poor Jordan Howden as he's a very talented player. I was going to say he deserves a break but that's probably not the right phrase to use for the luckless lad.

Do we have any further injury news about Ryan Boyle and Jack Miller?

If Miller can't play, I'd guess Hakim Miloudi will play in the halves with Richard Owen at full-back. We could do with Jason Tali back too.

There's an added twist to the game with the Horne brothers locking horns! Graeme Horne seems to have been doing well for York... and of course, Ben Cockayne will be playing against us too. I've got a funny feeling that Ben Cockayne and Richard Owen might exchange a few words with each other at some point during the match!

My own personal view is ... if he is having trouble again with the hip that he had an operation on then he should not be playing rugby and should retire immediately.

Advice that comes with age SO and I do not disagree given how your body feels at our age But try getting a twenty one year old athlete to see it in the same vain. Fingers crossed its still some kind of injury that improves as his body gets a bit older and a fair bit stronger cos the lad has skill and could be a proper player in time.
