looks like young stephan Myler will have to play there now.

Lawford was awful this season in the few games he played. I know a lot of the team was but him in particular. Perhaps Myler will do a better job.

Am I missing something here. Lawford walked out on us!! Why?? I know he hasn't been playing that well, but was this something mentioned in the board meeting, a response to Kelly opening up contract talks?? Personally I'm glad for Myler, who should have come off the bench at Salford and played the last two games..

i'd be looking for the RFL to investigate batley for an illegal approach for him.

I wouldnt if he has been unhappy for some time offload him and bring somebody in who is willing to play. He has looked overweight and useless so far this season anyway.

Is it a bad thing that lawford is going, ya not gonna win many games with a prop at scrum half on a more serious note, i do hope you pull a few decent results together as widnes are one of a few teams to get out of the nfp and do well in super league, good luck for the rest of the season.

One thing is certain we need a new Scrum Half and fast, this was the case even before Deano left.

To be honest some of the guys aren't fit cos they had operations in pre season so haven't had time to get fully fit yet, i'd expect the situation to improve in the next few weeks.

Lawford was sh$t anyway. This Myler looks good at least he'll have a chance now that fat umper lumpa has left.

Personally on this seasons performances I don't think losing Lawford is a big loss in the same way that based on last years performances Sheridan went.
Myler is a talented young player. He has looked pretty good when he has played alongside Jules (who also needs to raise his game IMO), but as is the story with Widnes this season, there is little or no cover. I haven't been down to watch the U21's this season yet. Does anyone know how this Ainscough is progressing??

I saw Stephen Myler last season in some under 21s games.

In my opinion you could do a lot worse than giveing him a first team slot.

I am sure he would give 100% every week .

Hope you get things sorted out on the playing field before it's to late because i think Widnes Vikings belong in the Super League and when you play my club the Salford City Reds it is allways a decent game home & away.
