| Well that was very very poor, it was game over at half time and the defence was woeful, leeds classy backs destroyed us out wide. A respectable fight back in the second half but thats the least we could expect given what the first 40 brought.
Deflated and that brought back horrible memories from last season.

| I thought that the first half was our worst performance since we got back in SL. Even in the dark days of 2012 at least the players appeared to be trying, today too many of them had a day off. Just as well the Rhinos stopped playing after 50 minutes and we got some respectability back to the scoreline.

| It would have been 80 last season, much better 2nd half performance. People may say Leeds switched off, maybe they did but teams like Leeds don't like teams scoring against them especially at nearly a point a minute which we did from 39 minutes onwards.

| Went today expecting a good close game but we were blown away by a Leeds side far superior in every department. Game over at half time and I don't even think Leeds played that well - just that we were woeful. Worst home display of the season and it's difficult to see where we go from here.r

| I have said in another thread Hanbury was clearly not fully fit and shouldn't have played, not an excuse for the way the rest performed, although Brown I thought did well especially as he was playing for a well beaten side.
It looked like a game to many for us until we had our second half bout of scoring. I realise we lost a few with injuries, but I couldn't quite understand why it took so long to bring Craven on. We were as ever pedestrian at getting the ball away, how we could do with a McShane type player from the PTB, Clarke worked hard as he always does but Leeds were up on us (legally or illegally) every time as we were just so slow getting the ball away.
A bit more to cheer in the second half, but I agree as far as home performances are concerned that has got to be the worst since we returned to Superleague.
How many new injuries did we pick up? Marsh for certain, and I wasn't sure if Gerrard got hurt he certainly had heavy strapping on both legs, hopefully we will have a decent squad available for Wakey, although I think extra league points will be few and far between over our remaining games.
Maybe if the rumours about Chris Bridge coming next year are true, we could see if he could be released early or at least come on loan and see if we could prise Dwyer away from Huddersfield (although I suspect he will be happy where he is!). We certainly need some sort of injection of fresh blood! On the plus side we will hopefully have Cross and Allen back, not sure how bad Cahill is. Maybe another week will see Hanbury back to his usual self. Hopefully the performance will prove a kick up the backside and they will be up for the Wakey game.
Any thoughts of us taking the spoils in the Cup at Wigan I think need to be forgotten, however excited some people are about the prospect. I'd love it to happen but I'd rather have another 3 or 4 league wins!

If Carlsberg made rugby clubs, they would be like Widnes!: |

| Not happy to say it, but I did say elsewhere that I saw a bit of a beating coming!
Some real negative comments about WV players on twitter, but Leeds were simply very good. Their speed of play of ball and 'rolling' forward advances were awesome at times! Burrow and McShane were simply brilliant!
Picking up on another post though, Hanbury was clearly unfit for the game and by the end we also had Brown, Mellor and Ah Van on the pitch injured. I didn't see Craven on at all, did I miss him? Marsh limped off earlier in game so I just hope that these injuries are quickly resolved.

As superior as Leeds clearly were, you could see we were lethargic from the off. Hopeless one-up trundling attacks, missed tackles and failure to bend backs all over the show. How do professional players in one of only two professional comps on the planet not know how to tackle effectively? I'm afraid posting 30 points once the contest is over doesn't count, and this was over within the first half hour. Truly shocking.
