 Former Bradford forward, Phil Joesph has been handed a one year contract at Widnes after impressing on trial.
Joseph, who turns 28 tomorrow, has been with the Vikings for four months and appeared in their Boxing Day friendly against Warrington.

Good luck to the lad... when he burst on the scene at huddersfield i expected big things and was abit surprised when they let him go, was a hooker back then which i thought was his best position.

Perfectly valid as a squad forward, but would doubt him as a hooker on the basis of his speed to get to the ptb (based on the Wire game).

Well done and good luck to Phil.
In the two stints he has done for the Lions he has never let anyone down and always gives 100%.....put it this way i'd have him back in our squad anytime.

are you not bothering with matty sarsfield??? he has had a trial too at widnes??
wouldnt surprise me if you have just said goodbye to him...was very poor at giants under 21's
you could of dine worse by signing jonny molloy though who we also released.. rated him

Sarsfield is still on trial but couldn't play Boxing Day due to tonsillitis. Will probably play Sunday if fit and healthy.
