After being promoted to Super League for the 2008 season (coincidently after beating you guys) we started with 4 defeats from 4 games, including Huddersfield absolutely destroying us 64-12, we lost home games to Catalan and Quins, and put in a respectable performance against wigan, but lost by 12.

This brings me to our first win. A week after Leeds were crowned world club champions, they came to Wheldon road, full of confidence against a team with none. Well you know the script, we won easily! 38-20. History can repeat itself on sunday!

Our team in 2008 was pretty poor, we got a little better towards the end of the season but we took some thrashings. Stick with your team & back them as much as you can. You'll lack quality from time to time, but if you play with heart, then you'll get some positive results and begin to grow & fit back into super league.

Thanks for the encouragement Towns88,I don't think many of us were expecting to set the S league alight but we really have to tighten our defence up as teams are going through at will.Having our main hope (Watts) injured hasn't helped at all and now it looks like he's gone for the season. However,it is season 1 for us and we'll have to be patient,just hope the support doesn't drop off as we go through it.

There doesn't seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel at the moment. The standard of play and organisation is abysmal. I think we could end up being the worst team ever in Super League. We could even, ironically, become the only team not to win on the ipitch.

Now that would really take the biscuit

Before the season i was really confident of finishing off the bottom, but now im really worried about were a win will come from. This weekend would be nice!

I wouldn't bet on it. Looks more like the Halifax total is our target.

Didn't they finish with 0 when they got relegated? If so, all you need to do is stay in the salary cap and you're home free!

think they won 1 game, then got deducted points - their s**t really hit the fan in 2003.

They beat the Bronco s in London in week one, then lost every game from then on, then had those 2 points taken for a salary cap infringement

Very good point, any team that come up via on the pitch P n R will have a winning culture and mentality. It's hard to breed that into a club that have basically been parachuted into the top flight.

Someone down at London said "well thank God Widnes are terrible so Cas won't be ending up with the wooden Spoon." I said I wasn't so sure as Widnes have us to play twice!
