| I always liked Grady but thought that Widnes didn't seem to play him in his best position (fullback).
I watched him play there in the academy v Wigan a few times years ago and he was superb.

| I was also a fan of Grady, especially when I saw him playing in the u18's. When playing for the 1st team, however, I think everyone seemed to agree he had a lack of pace. Due to his height a lot of people wanted to turn him into a forward, which I think was the wrong move. IMO he should have stuck at playing in the backs and if the club wouldn't give him a chance he should have moved on instead of trying to make a 2nd rower. In the end people said he didn't have the speed for a back or the weight / build to be a forward. It was no surprise when he wasn't kept on for SL, which is a shame really as he showed a lot of promise when in the academy.

He played a couple of times at fullback IIRC, but in the end he was ousted by Danny Craven and Danny Hulme.
I liked the lad as a player. His tackling in the early part of last season was terrific in some games.
