Has this been confirmed if so i think its a good choice as its a very good stadium and easy to get via train and bus if people travel that way.

Little off topic - will Widnes be playing home games on Friday night or Sunday afternoon?

It had better be Sunday unless we are on SKY on Friday or Saturday.

Sunday afternoon as far as we're all away. We had a little experiment with Friday nights and it proved unpopular so we moved back.

For our first season back i would have much rather had a weekend away somewere rather than just a short trip to Manchester.

I imagine Widnes will be playing when sky tell them they are... random fridays, saturdays and sundays.

Well that's the same for everyone isn't it? But you still have your 'preffered' home date.

One of the major problems when we tried to play Fridays the other year was a lot of the other sides refused it due to being part time (though they had done for Salford previously). So we ended up having games on Saturdat evenings or still on a Sunday, factor in SkY Thursday games that was 4/7 days of the week we could br playing on and made it a right mess!

City play QPR at home the following week. Unlikely they will allow 7 games of rugby to be played on the pitch 5 days before they might be playing for the league championship

As far as im aware, its that weekend.

That will go down well with the Stadium management as I am sure they will have many functions already booked for Friday, Saturday and Sundays in 2012 and 2013. SKY should not be allowed to dictate what matches they are going to show or when.

They pay £1million a year to each club for the privilege.

It's June 2nd and 3rd, not May. It's an extended bank hol for queen's jubilee.
