It seems that former favourite JD won't be joining us after all... hes' gone to York on aone year deal. shame thought he would have come back and would have been a great boost for the fans to have a favourite back.

I thought that it was 'nailed on' that he had signed for widnes? Would have been a good signing for you so i'm surprised that he is at york.

Tbh once we had signed Finnigan & Ropati I couldn't see it happening. Would of liked the deal but wouldn't of been a priority IMO!

Strange indeed it was pretty much nailed on that he was to be assistant coach from what i heard. It must have come down to money.

FWIW, Demetriou originally turned down York's offer a couple of months back. He was probably holding out for a deal with us or another club, but in the end no suitable offers came so he went back to York and signed for them. |

Always an honest bloke and will be settled in Yorkshire, so all the best to him! He makes a very good point that maybe it is best to leave his Widnes career as a special one, rather than put that on the line.
