Not had time to get onto a PC since the barrow game.
I think it is an utter disgrace the attitude of the team on sunday. If I'd have known that widnes had the "we have ticked the box" so lets not turn up attitude. I would have saved myself a 600 mile round trip and 10hour drive.
Yeh we have ticked the box, but our performance over the last few seasons has not been the best. How can we develop as a club when we let good players go and keep dead wood. we need to have a good look at the way we play. we could have played for a whole weekend and not scored against barrow. Too many times this season we look clueless going forward, when are we going to come up with new ideas and plays.
Against barrow we were outplayed and out classed. I dont mind losing when they try, but there was no fight on sunday they didnt look interested.
If we are going to be competitive then we need to have a good look at ourselves, look at how other teams have kicked on and progressed. I know these teams have not ticked the box but they are up there competing.

Does being able to tick the box stop a team from challenging with other teams in the league because it seems that way.

I don't see any promising signs for next season it will be another struggle into the playoffs again

Why let smithy go it does not make sense
I know people are going to shoot me down
This is how I feel

Not going to shoot you down.. you went the game so you have the edge on me there and I think most fans that went or listened on the radio would agree it was a disgrace.
Likewise... letting Smithy go is a terrible decision in my eyes.

In terms of ticking the box... not sure how much this contributed to this season over and above the injuries that we had, and the tragic circumstances surrounding Paul Cullen.
All I can offer is that the signings being mooted seem very positive indeed.. rather than us lying down and doing nothing next season it seems we might be building a very good side indeed. I will wait and see but this season hasn't finished yet so don't become too disheartened.

Whats the point in putting money into the first team when a franhcise is already secure???

when you could be building a Super league squad in 16 months

am not trying to have a dig or anything, its a serious question??

Nobody knows what the squad will be next year bar a couple of players, but people keep saying we're definitely fielding a team of kids next year because we'll get it, which is absolute rubbish.

We will need a squad long before any announcement in March, (announcement to us - July the rest of the game if they can keep it a secret that long). So it seems it will be a mixture of our good young lads coming through and players like Thackeray, Netherton who we see as having potential in Super League.

Fairly certain they said the promoted Championship club will be ' annonced ' in ,march

As for your lack of ' form ' , could this be partly down to the ludicrous situation in RL were players and clubs agree transfers before the end of the season , always thought that was a daft idea

Not sure, the way I understand and Im sure TOC said on TV that the club gets told in March with the announcement in July. I wonder if the club gets told in March and the club making way doesn't know til July? If so there will be some bashing done on here Im sure!

Players wise - I'm not sure, our rules are no different to anyone elses and Featherstone have shown you can recruit good players and get them working for each other you won't be far off winning this league.
