You can't argue with that. The conditions were awful, the pitch looked like a garden and the whitehaven players had clearly been told to rough us up and yet we walk away with a big win.

Like the combination of Smith, Netherton, Gerrard, Coyle and Thackeray. All of a sudden we've plenty of playmakers on the pitch!

What satisfied me is that we went up there midweek and did it. All too often we've been up there and got dicked. Granted Whitehaven were not the best but it is not often we put in a comprehensive performance on the telly in atrocious conditions.

I only get to see the televised games when it comes to Widnes but Flynn is making all the right strides - he looked like a natural at Full Back and covered some yards on his (in combination with Coyle) to deny their winger a try in the 2nd half in the corner.

i'll try again. how about this one, How many games has he played for you up to now, I gather Widnes signed him in April.

Not too sure when we signed him, but before last night he only played in one game and that was the home defeat to Batley on 23/05/10. He didn't feature much as he was clearly injured/unfit.

The funny thing is, call me arrogant if you want, is that I haven't seen a lot that really impresses me in this division, despite our poor position. I really think that if we got it together, we'd beat Leigh or Fev. If we hit top form, we should be getting to the latter stages of the play-offs.
