| Just a quick question as to how he is going for you guys. I am a massive fan of his and hope he has a long future at Wigan just wondering how he is shaping up, is he offering good go forward and how is his defence shaping up especially against the kicks?

| Seems to be going okay at the minute, scored a nice cheeky try today and he's now scored 4 in 3 but the conditions are not really suiting an expansive game yet. He went of later in the game and looked a little groggy. Liam Farell and Ben Davies both had very strong games today. Im pleased with all 3 so far and hopefully when the conditions get better we'll see the best from them.

| Liam Farrell has got everything in his locker to go a long way in our game. I think he's going to be the best of the signings and hope we can keep him all season. His feet are quick and he has a nice little step on him. His work rate is superb too. Very impressed!

Yes, all three good players and good moves I think for both clubs. Farrell inparticular I think will benefit from playing in a very tough, physical championship and be banging on the first team door next season at the latest.
Ainscough has the right attitude, always runs to his potential and will probably score over 25/30 tries this season, as VM has said he's got 4 already.

| Ainscough is a top winger, fast and very enthusiastic.
Farrell was man of the match for me yesterday, worked his socks off.

Great post, well done.
It's a shame Ainscough has gone but if you rely on dual contracted players this year you will come unstuck. We have Gaskell and Paddy Flynn to come back into the team who were first choice wingers anyway before Ainscough came in. Gardener is playing there now too and doing ok. I hope Shaun does well at Cas, he's a good player.

I know what your saying AJ, but just say that Ainscough stayed for half the season, do you expect your 2 wingers i.e Gaskell and Flynn to be happy kicking their heals in the reserves waiting for their chance. You say that they were 1st choice wingers anyway but 3 into 2 doesn't go unless your going to put one of them on the bench which is a waste in the modern game. I just feel this dual reg business could upset many of your established squad players.

| Show me a squad that goes into the season with just 2 wingers? It would be crazy to do that. We knew Ainscough wouldn't have played every game anyway, hence dual registration. We had the same situation with Penny, Gaskell and Flynn last year and it worked well, infact when Wire took Penny back Paddy Flynn (who had made way) put in some fantastic performances. It's a squad game, people pick up injuries, loss of form etc. We were covering ourselves by getting Ainscough in but we can't be blamed for him leaving. I'm sure we will look at other options.

Sorry, I missed this point, and it's something that concerns me too.
I'm looking at Liam Farrell, who I think is a fantastic player and is good enough to be in Wigan's first team now. But he trains with Wigan 4 days a week and came in a week before the season started, and has started every game (I think).
Players like Kavanagh and Doran etc. I'm sure aren't too happy to start on the bench being Widnes players, training at the club all week and having been there a while.

| That's the point I'm trying to make, they train with there Super League club all week and turn up at the weekend to play for you, how do you go through set moves or plays at training when some of your players aren't there, this dual reg business definately favours the fat cats from Super League IMO, and I'm not just saying that because my team Barrow haven't got any.
