| I dunno, the first 60 mins or so we gave them a damn good game, just the last 20 mins we seemed to get tired etc.

I thought that at first but it's an 80 minute game and competing for 60 minutes wasn't good enough. But to counter act my own argument, the Aussie national side doesn't seem to have the huge personnel changes that we do every couple of years. We needed to blood the young guys and I really believe we can build on this. I think Smith should have stayed as well.

| Your right we need to play all 80 mins and not 60, but compared to previous games where we have not competed for 10 mins let along 60 mins the guys where up for it. The Ozzies just out powered us through fitness in the last 20. Like it or not, it has been an improvement this tournament than the WC was.
Tony Smith should have stayed has since the WC its clear England have made massive progress. Not enough to beat the Ozzies yet but it was in the right direction. Time is needed to build a solid England team etc.

| Same old scenario. England/GB can compete for a bit and then get tired and fall to pieces. The Aussies are just too good for us. See Little Rich's sig for details.

Last time I went was last we got hammered in the final and I thought just that! The roads around the area were gridlocked as well and I missed Girls Aloud

It's just a horrible stadium albeit with a good atmosphere. Seats are so small there is no particularly easy way of sitting without hurting your legs if you are average height and getting up to go the toilet is a real chore. Toilets were just a long wall with one sink between the lot of you. Car parks were stony uneven puddle ridden messes.
I expected much better tbh.

| England couldn't live with that tempo for the full eighty minutes. The Aussies visibly raised the bar last night, compared to their previous displays.

I believe that sort of thing tends to happen at your age, Chris.
