| Are these dual contracts season long loans or can the player be recalled at any time?

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

| I would guess any player on a dual contract would be tied up to a season long contract that is reviewed every season by both clubs involved.
If it just operates like a loan agreement, what's the point?

It's the first step to a NRL type set up with feeder clubs mukka

I know, we have been trying to copy them for about 30 years and the problem with that is your always 5-10 years behind them. Its time to play our game and then bring it home in 2012.

| We will never catch the aussies. They don't have football taking the majority of their best athletes. Rugby league is a much lower priority in this country, it isn't the system they have. Feeder teams will not catapult us into international contention.

I agree, I think I'm right in saying you can only have so many dual contract players - what happens if all your dual contract players are recalled with their parent clubs all season? Can you end the agreements as and when you like?
There must be certain rules & regs about who can end the agreements and when. Otherwise as you say it could just end up like the current loans where the parent club could just end the argeement anytime they like.

| I think that dual contracted players can come and go between the two teams without signing a new deal. if Pickersgill and Penny had been on Dual contracts they could have returned. The obvious downside is that we couldn't control when thay play for us.

But what happens if you can only have say 5 dual contracted players and all 5 get recalled to their parent club long term. Does that mean you've wasted your dual contracts or can you agree to terminate a dual contract agreement?
