an atmosphere that isn't created by people in matching shirts clapping along to a drum or novelty PA music might be nice!:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_40764.jpg

Mate hopw many of these threads do we see popping up on here, or TIW? No offence, I admire you're spirit, but it won't ever happen. Plenty of one game whoppers at the NRC final, but with literally jack away following and the nature of our stadium there is very little chance of any real atmosphere. Perhaps a bit at the Fax game, but I still feel it will be subdued in comparison to the away games icon_cry.gif

It was probably the bracing sea air that helped at Blackpool.

When i saw the thread title i thought it was yet another story about Paul Simon trying to get his ass out of Widnes.

I'm sitting in the railway station.
Got a ticket for my destination.
On a tour of one-night stands my suitcase and guitar in hand.
And ev'ry stop is neatly planned for a poet and a one-man band.
Homeward bound,
I wish I was,
Homeward bound..........
And each town looks the same to me, especially this place called Widnes - what's that smell?
And ev'ry stranger's face I see reminds me that I long to be,
Homeward bound,
I wish I was,
Homeward bound,
Home where my thought's escaping,
Home where my music's playing.................. la la la la la.

Had he visited Halifax, he would have unpacked and stayed. That's wot i reckon anyhoo ......... icon_biggrin.gif

Spot on that chief. On another note, I reckon our repotoire (Spelling) of songs isn't too bad, some belters, yet we only seemed to go through the whole lot in the boozers before the game, a bit limited during the actual 80 minutes. icon_confused.gif

I don't think we do too bad for an atmosphere at the ground when we have big competetive games.. just look at Salford last year.. (alright the kids made a stack of noise but the rest of the fans were very vociferous also.. ) if there are decent numbers of away fans then that helps with the atmos...

I'm also more than happy to welcome any glory supporting fans or other types of fans for that matter, provided they behave themselves.

The more fans coming to games the better.. it helps with the pro-widnes noise and if they like what they see it means they are more likely to come again.

I myself am a glory-supporter that stayed on. First game was against Warrington when I was about 6 which we won and I've stayed since. icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif

Nah had he visited Halifax he would have thrown himself in front of the next train that went through the station, it's that bad there. icon_lol.gif

I feel as though we can be good dependant upon away following and nature of the game, but I would ideally love us to have a more varied songbook, like we did pre SL. Remember standing in that shed at Haven about 99 ish singing 'jingle bells oh what fun it is to see Widnes lose away' class icon_lol.gif icon_cool.gif
