| Who will start at 13 for Widnes next season??
Finnegan has landed the no.13 jumper but Frame who had cemented his place up until last season will be fighting for it back!
Discuss......

| finnigan easily, Frame can't just decide he wants to play this season and automatically get his position back, he has to work for it. Finnigan will start the season as 13 due to his excellent perfomances last year, i can't see that changing for a while unless Finnigan gets injured or gets lazy which i definetly can't see heappening.

| I think Finnigan will start the season at 13 he deserves it after the season he had last year was one of a few that tried last season.

He can be an excellent one, but we saw a rathr ordinary player last season who was rescued by a long term contract. That isn't to say I wished he would go, I know in a good team, a better outfit, he could do well again.

| the only good thing about finnigan is he is the only one who gets on the end of grubbers.
other than that there is no effort whatsoever anbd they are never going to be good enough to take widnes rlfc forward to the next level

I think that's an unfair assesment of Finnegan mate. He was one of the few tryers during the early part of the season. He puts the effort in with his tackling and is prepared to put the work in when running the ball.
Frame owes us for last year.. he's playing for a contract this year and therefore will hopefully put in some performances which rightfully earned him his long contract a couple of years back..
Don't get me wrong Frame can be a really good player but at the moment Finnegan is there on merit.

| Finnegan is a decent player, wouldn't mind having him at the Wire as a squad player. Always tries hard, even when asked to play out of position.
Frame is tripe. Plays well when it suits him, should have been out the door last season.
I heard Mark Smith might be covering at loose-forward if there are injuries? Does this push Frame further down the pecking order?

Frames on his last chance now he's come into the final year of his contract which saved him from the chop last year. His performances did improve when Frank arrived whilst his new found attitude in recent interviews seems an improvement. He's admitted his disappointment at losing his squad number and position to finnigan so hopefully the competition between them for the LF spot will be intense.

| One thing is for sure.. there is a lot more depth to the squad now. Also with the addition of players that can perform in a number of positions, their versitility means we will have better cover if injuries hit..
Finnigan was a solid peformer in a poo team. Frame performed poo in a poo team with a coach he seemingly did not see eye to eye with.... This seasons battle for the LF spot will be interesting as i can see neither player slacking, particularly with the new and optimistic culture that Frank and his team are developing..
Team work, confidence and positivity will see us through this season. Mark my words.
