wouldn't it have been better to have put stank as head coach rather than bring a new one in as you did. That way the wages paid to your head coach now (which must be allot) could have been spent on 2 or 3 quality players.

good point. ive heard as well that they might be reducing it outside super league level next year by up to 30% to help make the clubs more stable or level it out a little without them all going bust trying to compete.

Prob unfair on widnes as with the stadium you have and crowds allowing you to spend much more then you should just be in super league anyway instead of some of the teams which just get 2500 fans each week. i just dont get how they make there decisions at times. it frustrates me as a league fan so it must drive you lot mad.

No other Championship club averages 2500. Widnes are comfortably the best supported club outside SL and fair to say better supported than some SL teams, ie Harlequins and Celtic.

Back on topic, I said when Cullen took over that we needed a complete overhaul of the coaching staff and he needed to bring his own men in. Shame for Stankevitch for having to leave but these things happen.

Yup and then how do you expect a team to step up to SL after that? Players currently in side will be at a lower quality and sponsors won't be geared towards a higher cap!

Should be a % of income, yes it may favour us over others but SL applicants need to be strong to survive!

Paul Cullen is holding his hand up and claiming responsibility for the current changes at the club. He doesn't like the set up and doesn't see the point in running a Championship club like a half-assed SL club. Unfortunately John has been a victim of this. Cullen has to make things happen on the field for next season now or face the consequences.

With the mess Ste Mac has left, I wish him luck with that.

I,ve heard that you have a divided club.Cullen has his favorites and the not so close to his luke warm heart...Shame..you as a team with history and honour deserve to have folk such as Stankevitch treated so much better..
