| Quote: "A message to our members and supporters from the club’s Director of Rugby, Richie Myler…
As a club, we are currently a million miles away from where everybody associated with Hull FC wants us to be. A lot of factors have contributed to the club being in the position we currently find ourselves in.
The board hears your frustrations; believe me when I say, we cannot and will not continue in this current manner. This is not a finger pointing exercise, or a blame game towards any one individual. But clearly, certain members of our organisation are not delivering on their roles, and ultimately we need to make a change.
Representing Hull FC carries a weight much heavier than most clubs in the competition, and expectations are rightly much higher than other clubs due to the potential we hold.
But, in the same way as a player might have ‘potential’, ‘potential’ can only take you so far. Hard work, dedication, and committing yourself to a cause bigger than yourself has to be paramount. Without those factors, you end up where you deserve to be.
This is the reality of the club over the past four years; and it hits home when you consider our current league position.
As members and supporters, you have the right to be frustrated. You have the right to demand change. You have the right to expect more from us.
But, I believe there is a brighter future for Hull FC.
Rugby League is an unforgiving sport. The margin for error is so small that if you aren’t all in it together, pulling in the same direction, or if you take your eye off the ball, you fail.
Currently, we are failing.
A lot of talk has been that our focus is purely on 2025, and we have “put the cue in the rack”. I can assure you all that every day, we are working tirelessly to solve our situation. To get back to where we want this club to be, we have to change fundamentally.
We cannot thank our members and supporters enough for their ongoing support in these difficult moments.
Richie Myler.'"

| Feels a bit of a knee jerk statement. Not actually said much.
Unless it's a precursor for things next week.

| Why isn't it the owner saying these things. He's been less than open with the very people who pay his and the players wages. If his heart's not in it anymore he needs to go now and then hopefully we can look forward with some small degree of confidence.

Think AP said when he announced Myler he would be the one fronting up. I'm not fussed who makes the statements, just hope we get something off the back of it

| Lots of unanswered questions in there.
The only one we need answering is when is Pearson going? That will be how the future of the club is decided. If he stays with investment I think we're done. If he goes and a whole reset begins then we can all get behind the club hopefully moving forward as the fans have lost hope, interest and the club is on a knife edge

| Interesting to see how this pans out, clearly somethings are not right and possibly more departures to take place?
Still it’s currently only words, proof is in the pudding as they say but first time in a long while I've seen any sort of statement from the club and certainly admitting that the club are failing the fans/ supporters.

| The first thing is to acknowledge the current situation has to change so I welcome this statement but the next step is to see positive change to start improving things.

What a daft thing to say
Hardly a rallying call when we sit bottom of the League
You need a speech writer Ritchie. That says sweet FA

Couldent have put it better myself.
I used to think Pearson was a savvy business man now im wondering if buying Hull City who were playing way below their potential was just good timing, his record of appointing managers and directors certainly isnt good. I cant see what he offers if he isnt the 'money man' anymore, he hasnt ever got his head around RL and the addmitedly odd way the RFL operate.

| Well its hard to see that he could say really in fact at this juncture in things as we hit rock bottom his wall of silence approach would have been much more effective for him, for now at least. But instead he does this not after the last game, but now.
So, for me it is great to see something from the club at last tainted, though it perhaps is, by the advent of the new season ticket scheme but personally I think this is a lot more than the usual Adam begging bowl and just about selling tickets. We've been conned year after year by fine words at this time of year which does tend you to see anything as just a sales pitch. However for me this is an attempt at much more than that. I wonder as some has said if this is the Harbinger of big change perhaps Adam is going perhaps Grix is going otherwise his alluding to instigating change can't really fit anyone else because besides Myler himself there really isn't anyone.
When he says "But clearly, certain members of our organisation are not delivering on their roles, and ultimately we need to make A change". The use of 'a change' rather than changes after using 'certain members' is interesting. If he was to shake everyone up in a sort of cosmetic exercise or cut a few players he would have said 'changes' but this points for me to a lot more than that and perhaps someone senior is either being shipped out or removed or even that the organisation is being restructured around a fundamental shift.
Lwets see what happens next shall we??

| Thought they’d wait until the final game, so as to distance themselves from this disaster of a season.
A pre cursor of the changes to come.
Good job something is on the horizon. Would be the end of the club as we know it otherwise.

You''re that guy in the building who's been whining about how much he hates his job for for 20 years and never left. The doors not locked; leave when you want.
