| Think its worth it's own thread.
Cator out, hopefully Savelio back.
Hard to know what with the bench, do we go with a 2nd hooker and do we carry a winger on the bench.

I’d go with size on the bench. No point carrying a back if he’s not going to hardly get on. If Cator was fit, I’d have been tempted to use him instead of Johnstone to spell Houghton.
We’ll need to try and match them down the middle as well.

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

| Can’t see anything but a repeat of last week. Cator is a massive loss when we’re already light on go forward.

| Still hopeful for Saturday.
If you takeaway our awful first ten minutes last week, there wasn’t much in it score wise. Saints played well last week, but I can’t see us being as poor again. If we can get off to a steady start and keep the score tight, then we can start putting pressure on Saints.
It’s going to have to be a full 80 minute performance, but we showed against Wigan we can do that. Also we’ll have some support this week and I’m sure that we’ll have the noisiest 600 fans there, plus we might pick up the neutral support to.

| On the plus side, should we overcome Saints, after knocking out Wigan earlier in the competition, we will be off to Wembley (again) with all the confidence in the world.
If we play anything like last week, then it’s the end of our cup run this year.
We need an epic performance, similar to the one in the cup at Saints ground, with Albert playing, and they murdered us with sin binnings galore, we lost that game, but one of the best performances I’ve seen.
We need Sneyd & Reynolds/ Connor to click, we’re underdogs, go for it. Come on yu ull

Thats actually a good call but wont go down well with the majority on here
bench impact is very important and recently ours is zero so i would go further and have Griffin and Satae on the bench to give us some impact.
The continued use of Johnstone on an already weak bench is something i cant understand given his time on the field has been limited in any case.
If Hodgson is going to go down that road again then start Johnstone and let Danny Houghton come on off the bench. This way Houghton has looked a better and more refreshed player.

We need to start big and strong this week. Benching two of our better players won't help us do that.
Bowden needs to front up this week. He's a senior prop and should be looking to give us a lift when he comes on.
Saints had their best game of the season last week, we had out worst. Im hoping we respond well, and wouldn't want to shake the team up too much. But as you've mentioned we do need some impact from the bench.
Maybe something like this in the forwards and a bench of:
Satae
JJ
Sao
Ma'u
Griffin
Lane
Bowden
Fash
Savelio
Houghton
Although the thought of Fonua in the centres scares me a bit...

| Minimal changes from last time out
Connor, Swift, Griffin, Tuimavave, Fonua, Reynolds, Sneyd, Satae, Houghton, Sao, Savelio, Ma’u, Lane
Bowden, Brown, Fash, Johnstone
That's stronger than the side that beat Wigan in the quarter final. No need to move Griffin from centre, he's been one of the form centres in Super League this year,
