| From the HDM - a very off season article but I guess shows how little has changed over 25 years apart from the demise of Bradford.

| That’s one table that will take some climbing, I suppose fifth is respectable.

| nothing will change for a few more years until the salary cap and all the loop holes are sorted out! those rules make a hell of a difference if you have half your squad in the england/gb team, marquee rule (was fine at 1)

It’s not a percentage, it’s a flat 5k per season for full senior international appearance bonuses (2k for England Knights, £500 for youth international teams).
There were central contracts for England internationals at one point, Kallum Watkins, George Williams, Mike McMeekan and Johnny Lomax were the ones announced but 3 of those have moved clubs and don’t recall any announcements since about it so assume it’s not a thing any more?

As far as I am aware Central funding is no longer a thing.
It was initially set up to prevent our top talent either moving to Union or the NRL.

Went well then with 50% moving to the NRL!

thanks for clearing it up, wasnt 100% sure, i know Pearson mentioned that we'd be over the cap if it wasn't for these loopholes....so i would presume most top clubs would be too

| the gap between us and the rest above just shows you how much we have been adrift, we've looked capable of having a shout for the big un maybe 3 or 4 seasons out of more than 20.
When the points don't actually matter in terms of winning championships these tables are almost irrelevant, remember leeds won from 5th having garnered only 32 points from 27 matches, same points total as us.

| I’m surprised we haven’t had any Rugby League experts over in the East insisting that our points total should also include Gatehead’s points!
