Your bit about our forthcoming recruitment and subsequent loss of current players captures exactly the reality of this time of year, when it must all seem like a game of chess for the club, working out all the 'ifs' and 'buts' scenarios and fitting salaries into the cap. As you say, we don't know all the goings on behind the scenes, so we have no choice but to trust the people in charge.
