| Seems we’re playing at Hullensians on Saturday, as I’m not going to the capital this weekend, will be able to take a walk to Springhead Lane. Anyone know if this will be our ground for the reserves now.
Can’t see anything from the club.

| They said they would be moving around a bit to give more people the chance to see games, if that makes sense.
Quote: "Future reserve games will be held at a number of venues across the city to make the games as accessible as possible, subject to availability and the fixture schedule.'"

| It's a good move to take the reserve matches to different venues to allow more people an opportunity to watch them. Why boost the coffers of a rugby union club though?
I'm sure that Wests, Hull Wyke, Skirlaugh, Myton etc would love the opportunity to host the games, boost their coffers over the bar etc and give their junior sections a chance to support it. Should be looking after our own.

I'll never understand why some fans, of either code, belittle the other, both are different games, but it's the same as people who deride Football.
If people actually WATCH the sport, then they will start to understand it.

“R.B.A” you are quite correct, our amateur rl teams should benefit from the pro game, but don’t we already play at Brantingham home of another Union side, as fans we can only vote with our feet, it is ultimately AP and the club who decides our venue. But rest assured the RFU will not profit from my attendance on Saturday, as my grandson at three will suffice an ice cream, I will make do with my old Holborn, and the whippet will be happy to drink the puddles on the walk there.

RU is no slower than RL, both sports have learnt a lot from each other. My only issue with Football is the money involved, but then I don't think RL players are worth what some of them get paid either.

| Hullensians a friendly club - pleased to visit.
Several of the players on show today have played both League & Union, yes they are different codes & yes League is far the better spectacle BUT the skills, especially in the backs are pretty transferable. Good to have all the links open IMO.

| Just got back from Springhead, a game we’re we really dominated against a very young Wakey side who to their credit never gave in, and showed some great spirit, don’t quote me on the score as there was no board, and the programs had sold out. Around 46-10 in our favour.
Maloudi looked sharp and controlled the game in the last 30min. Think Langtree looked outstanding, and Levi made some damaging runs using his frame to good effect. Beniek is a giant of a man and he looks in top condition. Tuli played on the wing and looked fit as well.
What a shame more clubs are not getting involved at this level, it’s the obvious stepping stone to the first team, good crowd as well around 200 maybe more.

The problem is in its present form its a waste of time.
The previous game was played against an all amateur opposition and as you say this one played against a very young Wakefield team.
Hull had a strong side out and it needs much better opposition to gauge our reserve players performances.
May as well just play local amateur sides until this reserve team mess is sorted out by the RFL.
