| It's no longer an FC matter but he remains close to the club so I thought I'd post that he has signed for Toronto Wolfpack. Good luck Rich.

| Great news for him and what should be a fantastic experience, with Toronto getting a great pro. He'll always be one of ours though.

| Thought he'd signed for us (Leigh) on a one year deal, I know he was offered a contract. Towards the end of his loan spell he ended up playing in the forwards, then when he had his hand operation, don't recall seeing him at our place. Good luck to Stilts....

| Good luck to him, he deserves every success.
I love those players that earn their legendary status through sheer hard work and commitment.
Great guy, great player.

He was sent back to Hull, ages before the end of the season. I seem to remember something about a breach of his contract at Leigh?

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

Really?
That is NOT like him and I don't remember hearing anything about it.

He definitely ended up back at Hull, well before the end of the season, at a time when we were light on numbers in certain positions. Leigh were very quick to 'disown' (i.e. terminate links with) certain members of their first team squad, who announced they were signing for Toronto, (e.g. Liam Kay, Bob Beswick and Jonny Pownall, plus assistant coach Simon Finnigan) It had been strongly rumoured that Richie was going to Toronto then. Maybe Leigh felt it was out of order that players were announcing their future moves before the players were supposed to talk to other clubs?
Otherwise, I fully accept what you guys say about Richie - who was a valuable addition on the pitch, and off it too. I've rated him since those early days at Fev and I wish him well.

Rich didn't end up back at Hull he has remained on Leighs payroll until the end of october there are reasons why the Leigh club didn't select him in the latter play off games which i can't go into but up to and including the second play off game he was recovering from having 3 screws put in a bone in his finger hope this helps clarify things a bit Alan

That is what I thought.
Otherwise he would have been available for us and probably in our squad late in the season.

| Loved the fact he was on the pitch at Wembley celebrating with the rest of the players.
Will always be a true black and white!

Thanks Fevrover. I was aware that he had to have the op. (Ouch!!) I was also aware that he wasn't going to be selected for the latter Qualifier games. Enough said!
