Was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm sat with my grandad who is a rovers supporter, were both going tonight!
I've tried explaining how the bottom teams and top 8 works in terms of play offs end of season, we don't understand.
How are the 2 teams that come up and 2 that go down determined?

Bottom 4 of SL and Top 4 of NL1 all play each other once (total 7 games).
Top 4 teams at end of mini league take a SL place
Bottom 4 teams at end of mini league take an NL place

Also at the end of the 7 games, 4th v 5th play off, so even if top 4 are SL clubs and bottom 4 are Championship clubs, the 5th place team will have a final chance to win a SL place.

The fact that you think there is a two-speed two-down system means you've really not followed it at all! |

Got to give the RFL credit for the new format, as I was unsure if it at first...but our games the last few weeks have seemed much more tense, and while Derbys always matter, tonight's feels like a cup final such is the importance. Much better than some of the pedestrian summer games we've had over the last few years.
The real test of the new format of course will be if the Championship teams compete, and if some big crowds are drawn in for the top8 games.
