| Don't come on here much these days but have to say that's a good resume of the game from Dan and the guys at Up the Cream and quite frankly its about time that if they are to portray an accurate picture for those fans who can't go to games then the Daily Mail should reflect more the thoughts of the supporters who were there and use adjectives like Catastrophic woeful and dross more often. Because believe me, that's what it was and it was without doubt a new low in a season that has featured several and seen the Club we love go backwards.
One or two of us have talked about relegation for weeks now and been poo pooed by the majority of fans, but enduring that last night you can see the possibility looming large. a lot of people leaving the game have quite simply had it! We started well before mistakes forced balls and bad decision making spread through the team like an infectious disease. Once that starts with Hull FC there is no going back and how our coach can say that it was an easy half time talk to give is hard to comprehend. He can't have been seeing what we were because ten minutes after our third try we all knew that another was highly unlikely as the writing was already on the wall against a very poor Wakefield team. Our coaching team and senior players seem incapable of action during a game or at half time, that can reverse that trend and see us wrestle back the momentum in these games. When Wakefield went two points up it was all over!
In the final 10 minutes the only conversation around me from long suffering fans who like me just go and hope these days, and who just 'don't say this sort of stuff' was "If our Coach is a man of his word and has any integrity then he would walk". That's for another day but perhaps he and a few of our staff should have been stood there with us lot in the stands reflecting on another £100 poured down the drain on the dream that turned into another blooming nightmare and being Taunted by chants like "16-0 and you f*cked it up" from a group of fans who hadn't seen victory since the second game of the season. Wakefield were as poor a team as we have met all season, we might paper over a few cracks on Sunday, but the old adage top eight, your having a laugh is very pertinent this morning.

Embarrassing! Says it all. Like you said, the writing was on the wall 10 mins before half time.

| Very honest write up of the game. There are no pluses you can take from that performance. 16-0 up and then a collapse, how many times have we seen similar from our club? It seems they thought the game was already in the bag. Egos bigger than ability? The galling thing is we do have talent in the team, it just doesn't seem to have any organisation or focus. If this is the case, well the buck stops with one man.
The one thing I really miss about watching Hull FC nowadays is the feeling that we could give anyone a game on our day, you went to games thinking yes we have a chance, not now I afraid. Now it is a chore to go to games, not a pleasure. I love the club, but to say its up the creek without a paddle is an understatement.

| I can't remember the last time I went to a game believing that we could actually win. That's a sad state to be in.

I think it's still the case that we can give anyone a game on our day, but it's the belief that it's going to be one of those days is what has died. We just don't see them enough to let ourselves.

| The fact that Miller and Arundel had an influence in our defeat says everything about how poor we are rather than how good they are. They have also played in many of the previous 16 games that Wakefield lost. Credit to them - they and the other Wakefield players fancied it after 20 mins and fully deserved their win.
That does go to prove your point though - we are spineless and have been for years. There's no doubt that we're seen as vulnerable by every other team whether they play us home or away. It must be common knowledge that if you stick in there for a while against Hull you'll likely come out as winners. Mentally inept and totally lacking in football brains we're ripe for being picked off. The last three coaches have failed to address this. It's hopeless.

Very good assessment of the situation. You'd expect Wakefield to have been the mentally fragile ones and to have buckled after getting 16 points down but it was the total opposite.

| Whilst I agree with just about every poster on here I think most fans are in denial about how poor our team/squad is . How many of them would walk straight into another super league team? Not many. The majority are simply not good enough.
I've been saying for a long time now , there are not enough players with brains in the team.
I don't believe the coaching staff has told certain players to keep giving silly penalties away on the 4th and 5th tackle or not back up a rare break away or not run off the shoulder of the guy holding out the ball looking for someone to pass to or keep the ball when we have a rare overlap or go completely away from the overlap.
I do how ever agree that Radford is to blame for us losing some matches with poor interchange management. Everybody has been saying for long enough that taking Paea and Watts off at the same time has cost us because the interchange props are not good enough and don't make the same impact. Watts has proved he can do longer minutes than Paea so why not keep Watts on etc ....... It's all been said before.
I have called for Radford to go like many others after losing yet another game we should have won. But then I've cooled down and have had to admit that the players are not good enough! He isn't the one who is dropping the ball in try scoring positions, how many times has that happened, he isn't the one that is giving silly penalties away or taking the wrong option.
Natural ability and a rugby brain are in very short supply at the moment.
The team/squad has been allowed to deteriorate ever since we won the cup against Leeds in Cardiff. That is down to all the past and present regimes . I do believe in someways Radford has the right ideals and recognises were we need to strengthen the team and appears to be trying to do that. He's made mistakes. ( none of us are perfect )
We have made too many poor signings over the years and we are suffering because of it.
As much as I would love to see a team of local talent , that is not going to happen soon. I'm afraid as much as I don't like it I believe the merged U19 & 16 teams is the way forward . It is the best way to improve our better players. Over the last 10 years how many real star players have either Hull or Rovers produced them selves?
I have been a supporter for 63 years and the last 6 -7 years have been the worse I've experienced. I've never not wanted to go to so many matches ever but have in the vain hope I will see a good game.
I'm afraid it's a long hard road ahead but like a lot of I refuse to give up hoping. Come ye ULL please please for gods sake.

| what annoys me about hulls position is you look at a team like saints tonight.we ran leeds closer than they did.must be the worst saints team in years.same applies to wigan.standard of rugby in super league is at an all time low and still we cant compete.
