Well we can't finish any lower than 16th.

well in theory we've got 2 better halfbacks, a more experienced coach and had a good solid preseason with few injuries. we also have a squad with decent depth, with the possible exception of prop forward. to this end i would be very disappointed if we don't improve our league position by a couple of places at least (remember how many close games we lost last season). the problem is as i have mentioned before we don't know how well the other teams will improve by. so whilst i expect us to do better, i think i'll adopt a wait and see policy this season - see how we are after half a dozen games

Dipfooks are cool though. Relegation a real possibility this year, possibly a positive outcome to instill some much needed humility and realism, and challenge the attitude of malice, misplaced arrogance, and sense of entitlement.

I'm not saying Hull will defintly finish in the top8 (but I do think we will). But if we don't we then need to finish in the bottem half of the "super 8s" which defintly will not happen.
