don't know how many herd interview but well worth a listen.just showed what a total pro and 100% club man he is.although i feel the time is right for him to hang up his boots i will really miss watching him.had alot of critics last few years but his commitment to over come injuries and health issues prove what a class act as a person and player he is.many other players hav'nt and in the future will not come back from far less.in 16 yrs i've never read or herd one negative bit of press about him,never been worried he might leave us for a bigger club or wage and never seen him look like he was'nt proud to pull on the famous black and white shirt.we all say we can accept losing if the effort and prides there(which has sadly been missing this year from alot of players),we all moan about players who don't appreciate how lucky they are to get paid for some thing we'd do for free and we all hate the players who make the front pages of the papers instead of the back.non of these have ever applied to horney and i for one would just like to say thanks rich for the guts and moments of sheer brilliance and class,for the commitment and effort on and off the pitch,but more than anything the honestsy and pride in our/your club

Fantastic post on a player who has never ever given less than 100% in every game even when asked to do a job that wasn't his natural game. Horney is an FC legend without a doubt

A legend in my eyes, & a great club man, who could have gone to play for a few other clubs, a top bloke also, glad he is sticking around to help develop the next generation, enjoy the last few games Horney.

Then went on to win a cup. Appear in more cup finals n grand finals. Break club records n overcome massive health obsticles/injuries!

£200,000 in 2004. No chance. The SRU finances were in a terrible state at that point and are only just recovering now, mainly due to BT sponsoring Murrayfield. The average wage in the English prem was £60,000 in 2004, Scottish rugby has never been able to compete with English clubs on wages. I'm not doubting they were interested in him, but not for that amount of cash.
