| Well i wondered why we had not seen a certain young player for a while. At 17 years old, does well in his first two matches but his manager is demanding a high wage for a STAR PLAYER (managers thinking). It makes you wonder who is this manager, and this young man needs bringing down to earth with a (BIG BUMP).

| Isn't it a manager's job to get as much as possible for his player? I'm not saying for one minute that his demands are reasonable but you can't expect him to start low and work upwards.
As for young player contracts in general what's wrong with incentive based one's that offer the chance of a decent pay out if certain targets are met? I doubt most people will grumble about a player's wage if the said person is performing well on the field.

| This is the problem we will always have nowadays players/agents seeking more money, & who can blame them, but I heard Sinfield yesterday mention again that the spine of the Leeds squad have stuck together often turning down bigger contracts elsewhere, & it has probably got the club where they are today, so fair play to the club & it's staff for this.

The player has a number of offers on the table and is taking his time making his choice. As a supporter we all want the best of our players to stay at our club, but the player has to do what is best for them. The career is a short one and injury can cut a career very short.

| At the moment it's easy to understand why players at FC may think that the grass is greener elsewhere. They may be persuaded by money to stay. Over at Leeds certainly and possibly Wigan and one or two other clubs their players will see that in fact it's not likely to be better elsewhere and they'll think twice before accepting some apparently lucrative offer. Until we change that we'll struggle and will have money as our main draw for players coming in and to an extent staying.

Are you for real? why would he need bringing down to earth? he plays to earn a living, if other clubs are interested then he has talent. If FC don't want to pay what his agent is after then fine but others may.

| I think you'll find that an agent's primary function is his own welfare.
By touting his players around for the biggest bucks, he ensures he is well remunerated too. If the player is subsequently unhappy with his move, what's the problem? His agent will simply arrange another move and potentially take a cut of yet another transfer fee into the bargain.
Win, win, win for some
