As a lifelong FC fan, this season and probably the last 6 seasons have been pretty awful!
I left the Widnes game contemplating next years season pass, then re thought that, because I am FC, without me there would be no FC, when I say me I mean Us!
More defeats have followed and as strange as it seems, my anger at there displays have changed to sympathy, for the effort is there for all to see, what we lack is quality, and that's not the fault of the team that enters the field but years of poor recruitment by the board.
I'm sure we will get there with our youth programme, just like Wigan are showing now.
So We are in for another lean year this year, but we will turn it around I'm sure of that.
I am FC and always will Be.

Down to 12 men against Rogers apart you are kidding.
No away wins so far, appalling displays against widness Wakefield and Rovers at their place.
Please don't let sentiment get in the way and hide the fact we are abject at best.

We have been here before though, built a strong squad and foundations for a great team. This tends to be followed by under investment or sell players to balance the books.
I'm sure we will get it right but this season i've been picking my games (a little like the players it seems)

I would not call it effort that I see week after week.
As I have said before. There is not many Rovers players I would swap for ours but they beat us because they show effort and commitment. |

Recruitment alone will not solve our problem(s)
Our youth programme will not get there, until ALL our playing squads are physically & mentally prepared similar to professional athletes. ie Wigan.
Until Pearson, addresses our lack of professional preparation, we will never make strides to catch Wigan,Leeds etc.
The call for an experienced Head Coach, would not happen, as no Head Coach worth his salt,would coach
a club with insufficient coaching staff. |
