Valiant effort from the boys... but overall another, yes another very average season...

Crookes had a decent game for me obviously apart from the high tackle. As for the tackle there's been far worse go without a card in the past & probably in the future.

Said the same on the match thread. He was running the ball well but let himself down with a couple of errors. However, all that can be forgotten once he got sent off. Lost any credit he'd earned.

but as i said on the other thread, we all know things have been let go, usually when involves one of the so called big teams but it was a clear sending off unfortunately

i saw worst tackles in the first half from both teams

Crookes dropped an easy kick and got sent off and that was his only real contribution. Very poor game.

On the flip side I quite liked Talanoa at centre. Anyone who watches the 19s a lot, are either of the young wingers ready yet? I wouldn't mind seeing Tala given a run at centre with one of the young kids on the wing when Lineham comes back.

As for getting rid of Radford. Well I have been calling for it, but a few problems did seem to be addressed today. He's got to get some results soon though and prove that he can get us playing, otherwise we will have to bite the bullet.

Radford needs support. No other team in SL have such an inexperienced backroom staff.

Crookes was awful in defence constantly caught out on the over lap. Ran the ball in strongly but that's it. Watch him for Keatings try.

not for me - we all know what will happen if the kid drops a high ball or misses a one on one. as for radford he should be given a chance to turn it round but a string of defeats in the away games and he'll probably be gone by the warrington game

I would hope they get some encouragement from both the players and the fans.
The problem at the minute been Crookes and Colbon aren't young kids. They've played the game at top level for years and Crookes should be able to catch a ball under no pressure. Neither look good enough.

Lineham was terrible in defence this year before he got injured but he seems to be another player some of our fans refuse to criticise when poor.

Why?

Because Radford's his mate.
