Adam Doesn't need to say anything just read his programme notes were he likens the process to being judged by a member from the jury on Strictly Come Dancing. Great stance by both Clubs and for Hudge to cite the Whiting incident in the way he has is a real eye and should be commended, in my opinion we can still all 'hate' each other across the great divide as far as the rivalry is concerned, but this united front on the state of the game should be welcomed by all fans. One things for sure both Chairman want what's best for the game However I can't see the cap doffing, shoe lickin' Yes men led by the Hetherington's joining the criticism can you?
Our great game is becoming a laughing stock!

Good point Wilf. I actually think Hudge has used the Whiting example in order to gain cross-city support in an attempt to present a united front. As you say, this is bigger than Hull v Rovers. Lets get it sorted, then we can go back to scoring points off each other. |

I do believe the only way we can get change is to highlight these inconsistencies by way of video like we did with the Paea one and Hudgell has done with this one and keep putting it in the public domain.
Otherwise you get fans of other clubs (or indeed our own club as evidenced on the Paea and Ellis threads) claiming it's sour grapes or a blinkered view. I'm sure if you take each of these incidents in isolation you could make a good case for a ban being warranted. It's when you compare them like for like with other incidents that dont result in any sort of ban that it starts to look corrupt/incompetent.
