| I was very vociferous in my opposition to his appointment and still unsure if he has what it takes to be a top class coach but I have to say well done at this stage for fixing up some fundamental problems we've had since agar took over. I think he's addressed some really simple things and we look much better for it:
Forwards running with aggression and trying to get quick PTB
Dummy runners and a bit of organisation in attack.
Supporting the man with the ball
Players look strong and fit
Enthusiasm
Defensive technique is improved
We still have some major flaws, including last tackle plays and goal line defence but the squad is certainly punching it's weight currently which is all we can ask.

| agree, id like to add. he's got players playing to their strengths. examples, westy with ball in hand and given a creative edge (old school) looses man, and ellis, running strong lines into gaps, poking his nose though and getting a hand free for the off an load.

| Our attack is looking really good which is a nice change. Not sure on our D especially when defending our tryline. The penalties are still the main worry, top sides will punish.
Points wise we're on track, should be aiming for 6 points outta the next 3 games if Hull are serious about a top 6 finish.

| Yep Radders seems to be doing pretty well atm. Sounds very focused in interviews and some of the projects like Feka and Talanoa are looking very good signings too. The almost invisible Ellis of last year playing great as is Westerman now playing in his natural position. There can be no let up in focus though as as soon as we do complacency will set in

Agreed. I yelled about the appointment too, more out of concern for his ability to manage a set of men he's so close to, as mates as well as colleagues, but so far he's shown no weakness in his ability to select the best team available each week.
Dropped Crooks this week, not worried to sub and drop Rankin to the bench. Did he drop Yeamo the other week - not sure I'm convinced about the late knock he apparently picked up? Anyway, this is exactly as it should be, everyone playing for their place keeps determination, hard work and enthusiasm flourishing and, more importantly, respect for the coach is embedded this way.
Well done, Radders, 8/10 for me on all counts, so far.

| He has everybody playing right at the line too. Last year everybody was passing the ball almost as soon as they caught in, however every player is running with it first and only releasing it when they're close to the defensive line.
The set up for Ellis' try (I think) last night came from Westy running at the line and dragging in two defenders, Bowden (I think) as a dummy runner also pulling in two defenders. That's four players dragged out f position just from playing it up close to the line, allowed an easy short ball for Ellis to crash over. Great to see and it's just simple play.

| Big difference to last year..our attack is looking really exciting, especially from deep which we haven't had in a long time. Defence however is very worrying but I'm sure that will improve as things go. I too was very critical of him. Never have rated him I remember being sat behind his dad once when he was playing a few years back..I was criticising radders when his dad turned around and put me in my place lol. Safe to say I've never done the same to any players since, never know who's sat in front of you do you lol. But his coaching this year seems a lot better, forwards running with passion and great attacking flare.

| One of the biggest differences is that he's created a lot more competition for places, I've got to admit I wasn't sure about the 'big squad' he has gone for, but its meant that the players know they are only one mediocre display from losing their place. Talanoa for example knows he has to make a big impression because Biggs is coming, the pack are all in danger of losing their place.
yes there are still some things to improve, and we need to cut the daft errors out, but i'd rather be watching a team play free flowing attacking rugby than the drab rubbish we've had for years.

| 4 games in and 2 wins against 2 of the poorer sides in the comp is nothing to get carried away with. Let us see how we are looking after 10 games. Considering we only have 1 trip out of Hull in the next 2 months we should be winning the majority of them.

I'm not getting carried away at all, just acknowledging that he's addressed some simple (in my opinion) areas which the last 2 coaches failed to. We're still a long way from a team who can compete with the top teams but that's more to do with the quality of the players we have (particularly halfs) than coaching IMO

| last season we had a shocking injury situation before we even kicked off the season(Losing Ellis for 2+ months was a huge blow), had no settled half backs & either one or both injured most of the season so hardly surprising our attack faultered (though we scored 50+ three times)
We recovered to win 14 of our last 20 games, 4 games lost in that were 7 points or less.
I'll say I'm still against Radford's appointment but there are some good signs however some bad signs also, defence is leaky as a sieve but if we always score more than we conceed (Brazil stylie) I'll be happy. Discipline is pretty shocking IMO.
\time will tell how things turn out but a shaky win against Cats and one against the Bulls is nothing to brag/start getting excited about

| I said it before and I'll say it again. Those of you who doubt, can tell me I was wrong when the seasons over, but I believe Radders is the man to take us forward.

| Good start, nothing spectacular results wise, but performance wise it's a vast improvement.
Not sure the Whiting at centre and Heremaia tactic in the halves will cut it against the better teams.
